A personal blog which accounts my random thoughts about everything under the sun that interests and concerns me. Basically these are just my takes on almost all life's issues as I continuously search for this life's meaning... My Past... My Present... and My Future...
On Monday June 29th, we ask Bloggers from around the globe to Unite for a Free Iran. Please JOIN this event and use your blog to educate your readers and spread the word about how we can help support a Free Iran.
This event makes us remember other things: Where are our rights? Will humanity always accept these charges policies?
Cebu City, Philippines, May 23, 2009 - Cebu's finest overclockers pushed the limits of their hardware during the first big OverClocking event in the city - the ASUS Ultimate Overclocking Show 2009! This was held at SM City Cebu Entertainment Plaza, just near SM Cebu's Food Court.
The Overclocking Show is actually the highlight of the two-week ASUS Ultimate PC Fair event, which was held last May 14-24 2009. And as part of the Cebu Bloggers Society's family, I am really glad and honored that they have invited us to such event... not to mention that we've enjoyed the part that they've treated us as a press.
Before, most of the overclocking shows and competitions in Cebu were only done online or in small internet cafes... but this time, they have brought the show to the next level, LIVE!
Two teams from the region, namely Cebu Extreme Overclockers (CEO) and Sugbu Elite Overclockers (SEO), each composed of four (4) PC enthusiasts and Overclocking record-breakers, have shown off their skills in both the latest AMD and Intel Platforms just to get as much as PHp50,000 worth of token, cash and hardware. And each team tried to outdo each other in the following categories:
• Highest % Overclock • Highest CPU Mhz • Highest Bclock • Highest Memory Speed (any timing) • Highest 3DMark Vantage Score in the Overclocked System • Highest Super PI
Since overclocking is a means of tweaking your computer hardware to function above its original specifications, there is a need for the best performing and most efficient hardware during the showdown, and that's where ASUS came in.
Ryan, one of the ASUS' geeks, was the host of the event. He explained or rather discussed important things in reference to the ASUS system and its advantage or edge towards other brands when it comes to overclocking.
ASUS, the world's no.1 motherboard manufacturer, provided the teams with top hardware such as the latest Intel Core i7 board - Rampage II Gene and the OverClocking record-breaking AMD-based motherboard, M4A79-T deluxe. The teams also used the latest graphic cards from the brand such as the ASUS EAH4890 and ASUS ENGTX285.
The ASUS Rampage II Gene is part of ASUS' Republic of Gamers (ROG) series. As the name suggests, all ROG products are made to provide the best performing solutions for serious gamers and overclockers. Rampage II Gene echoes this as it boasts premium features such as MemOK! for worry-free memory upgrades, CPU Level Up for easy system performance boosts, and onboard SupremeFX X-Fi for true-to-life surround sound in a compact mATX form.
The ASUS M4A79-T deluxe motherboard on the other hand, features the unique ASUS Xtreme Phase Power design, also evident in most ASUS motherboards. It utilizes more phases to deliver more power and achieve better performance, more stability, enhance power efficiency, and lower temperatures under any loading.
Besides from these top-notch motherboards, the overclockers was able to use memory from OCZ, Caviar Black hard disks from Western Digital, Sunbeam coolers, Silverstone power supply and cordless mouse and keyboard from Logitech. Microsoft Corporation provided the operating systems.
Surely, I am not a "techy" person. I admit that the above mentioned terms and other computer-related stuffs made me really sick. It was indeed a total "nosebleed" listening to Ryan and ASUS people while they try to explain everything... and I am glad that there are fellow bloggers who try to translate things in a more uncomplicated way. *LOL.
At the event, viewers like me did not go home empty-handed, as ASUS had given away cool gadgets and other useful prizes to lucky audiences or participants during the shows "ASUS Question & Answer" portion.
Others who were able to pass by the ASUS Ultimate PC Fair booth, got extra value and special discounts on ASUS motherboards, graphic cards, LCD monitors and wireless routers.
And of course, the event won't be a success without the help of the other sponsors which is listed below...
• CBX Corporation • Fine Upgrades Technologies • Tech Island TV • SM City Cebu • SM Cyberzone
And of course, the event won't just end without us - Cebu Bloggers Society's Family - doing our most favorite part... CAMWHORING! Yes, we are truly certified camwhores, and we like it that way!
Noted: ASUS is a leading company in the new digital era. With a global staff of more than ten thousand and a world-class R&D design team, the company's revenue for 2008 was $8.1 Billin (US Dollars). ASUS ranks among the top 10 IT companies in BusinessWeek's "InfoTech 100", and has been on the listing for 11 consecutive years.
There will be a press conference that an internationally-acclaimed Pinoy internet marketing expert named Joel Christopher will be conducting here in Cebu City. It will be held on Feb 03, 2009.

World-renowned Filipino Internet Marketing Expert Shares Wealth Secrets and Economic Recovery Projects to Cebuanos
Joel Christopher Remandaban, an internationally-acclaimed Filipino internet marketer, speaker, trainer and Amazon best-selling author will hold a press conference in Cafe Laguna, SM Cebu on Tuesday, February 03, 2009 at 11:30AM. He will discuss his upcoming seminar in Manila and will make himself available to those who want to ask questions before signing up. He will also talk about opportunities being offered at MasterListBuilder Philippines - his Internet Marketing outsourcing company; as well as the launch of IM4Pinoy.com - the new social networking website for Filipinos who are interested in becoming world class internet marketers and entrepreneurs.
Joel - a Visayan who hails from Tabango, Leyte - has been tremendously successful in opt-in list building, which is imperative in earning sizeable income from the internet. He has unlocked its secrets and tripled his list to over 30,903 names in only 99 days, a milestone that has earned him brands like "Master List Builder" and "List Building King" - titles bestowed upon him by the most notable personalities in internet marketing.
Jay Conrad Levinson, Father Of Guerrilla Marketing says, "Ask anyone this question: 'Who is the best in list building on the Internet?' The answer: Joel Christopher." Ted Nicholas, The Godfather of Direct Marketing, meanwhile, attests, "Joel has built one of the largest opt-in lists in a remarkably short time and is a terrific trainer who works hard, and is a person of integrity."
Joel has grown his opt-in list to more than 153,000 newsletter subscribers in as short as three years - truly unprecedented! Even those who came before him, who were already at the cutting-edge in list-building, still learned a lot from his coaching sessions and warranted that his methods do work and are, indeed, revolutionary.
Here's what Ryan Deiss of OptInAutomator.com has to say: "I consider myself to be fairly advanced in the area of list-building and opt-in marketing, but I still found myself taking HUGE amounts of notes, all the while thinking, 'Why didn't I ever think of that?!'"
Now - Joel, a concerned social entrepreneur, is out to share his milestone to none other than his fellow Filipinos through projects that may help them improve their lives.
First, he will provide hands-on training to the attendees of his seminar entitled, "How To Find A Lucrative Job or Career and Make Money Online," which will be held at the UST Auditorium in Manila on February 14, 2009. Second, he established MasterListBuilder Philippines - an online outsourcing firm that seeks to provide job and business opportunities for Filipinos who prefer to earn income while contributing to the Philippine economy instead of leaving the country as an overseas Filipino worker (OFW). Third, he helped launch IM4Pinoy.com - a social networking site that aims to empower budding and veteran Pinoy internet entrepreneurs by providing a venue for interaction and exchange of knowledge and ideas.. Through these initial undertakings, Joel hopes to create a constructive impact to his "kababayans" and awaken their passion for self-employment because of the time flexibility and financial independence that it offers.

Today, is the very first of December. As we start the festive and the holidays, and as we face the importance of this much awaited month, we have to also create and build a strong awareness on the issue of HIV/AIDS, as the world celebrates World AIDS Day at this very day.
“HIV/AIDS has now become a pandemic that has literally put the world at risk, affecting diverse populations in different ways”. –Dr. Nora Volkow, NIDA Director
Today is another day to create global awareness about HIV/AIDS that would present an opportunity for all of us - people worldwide to unite and build a strong stand in the fight against these pandemic diseases.
There have been an increase in number of people who are living with HIV or worst AIDS, and it continues to rise in every part of the world. HIV/AIDS has been a global epidemic... a real global epidemic that has affected millions of lives already. Despite of being so widespread, misconceptions about these diseases and how they are spread are still rampant. Most people, if not all, have just little idea or should I say have no idea at all, about how they could get HIV/AIDS, and I would set myself as an example. Thus, this acts as a major obstacle to its effective prevention. Making matters worse than expected is the stigma which is attached to it, with entire families being excluded just because they happen to have HIV/AIDS.
Remember that there's still no cure for AIDS, so it would be best for one to enhance his awareness of the issue and protect himself.
The time is now. Together, we can prevent the spread of this pandemic – through awareness, care, prevention, education and research.
For you to better know HIV/AIDS please do visit the following sources of information.
The Federal government has developed a wealth of HIV/AIDS testing, prevention, treatment and research information. In addition, the following are some of the many resources you can use to help response to HIV/AIDS.

P.S. To my dearly beloved readers and to my group - Bloggers Unite, I apologize for this very brief post. I have been so very busy lately, and managing to have more time to blog. But for sure I'll update it later after my work shift today. Thanks for reading...
Today, I have just realized how lucky I am... that despite of all the problems this world tries to offer me, still I am lucky. I have my country... I have my home... and above all, I have my family.
And today, a tear from my eyes again fell...
... Today, over 10,000 bloggers from around the world will unite to raise our voices on behalf of more than 40 million voiceless refugees. To ask the world to face the atrocities so many human beings must endure and to join hearts and minds to help bring forward information, understanding and action.
But who really are they? Who are these voiceless refugees?
The way I see it, refugees are victims or sufferers of torture...
Accordingly, a refugee is someone with a well-founded fear of persecution on the basis of his or her race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group or political opinion, who is outside of his or her country of nationality and unable or unwilling to return. Refugees are forced from their countries by war, civil conflict, political strife or gross human rights abuses.
The issue on Refugees is a major global challenge which faces all nations in modern times. Since earliest recorded times there have been instances of large numbers of displaced peoples forced to move from their homelands. In the modern world, thanks to telecommunications, we hear of these events immediately as they occur and we feel the urge to respond. However, there is often a great difference between what we believe we should feel and what we actually feel.
On the theoretical level we feel sympathy for these sufferers. They are the underdog. Pictures of distressed women and children evoke in us an instant sense of outrage and a longing to help. On the other hand the reality is not so romantic. Some people see asylum seekers as out to get their jobs. They often have different customs to us. They quickly become ghettoized in the host country. Their color or their language sets them apart. More than food and shelter, the most difficult challenge to be tackled is that of the harmonization of relations between refugees and the host population.
This is a huge global problem and can only be tackled as such, on the macro level, by governments and governmental agencies. However, as with so many large problems, the efficacy of the solution depends on the quality of work done at local level. Merely providing aid is not enough. The issue must also be managed properly and sensitively by the people most closely involved with refugees.
As an individual or a group and as a person, we could make a difference. All we need is to get involved. And like what a certain blogger have told me, "Educate yourself. See what you can do to help. It’s a small world and it’s getting smaller and it is no time to be living in a bubble."
Remember that this global issue, is not just my issue, is not just your issue, is not just his/her issue, and is not just their issue... it is our issue.
PEACE... is just a simple word yet connotes a HUGE meaning.
But what is really peace all about?
Understanding peace is just like understanding your own self and understanding others. So in order for you to better understand it, you should really have state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others where respect is gained.
Many different theories of "peace" exist in this world which involves the study of conflict resolution, disarmament, and cessation of violence. The definition of "peace" alone may vary with one's religion, culture, tradition, country, or even one's opinion.
Since I was born and have had my knowledge about the world and everything, peace had always been the issue in different parts the world. It has always been one of the greatest challenge for mankind and a dream that has yet to be fulfilled...
We use the word 'peace' a great deal. And more often, we connect peace with the context of war... war that really causes suffering, death and destruction on a huge scale. But peace is not only about war and relations between nations. Peace is a way of life — not that we are always the peaceful people we wish to be, but that we choose peace as a basic direction in which we are attempting to move.
All of us are subject to help peace happen — in our families, in our work places, in our neighborhoods, and in the wider world. Anything we do that draws us closer to each other, that inspires forgiveness, or that brings about real dialogue is considered a work for peace.
Peace work is healing work. In fact, this is one way of defining peace. Peace work is what we do to repair damaged relationships — healing between ourselves and God, healing between one person and another, healing between divided communities and nations. Those who work for peace are in fact working for healing.
So let us all work hand in hand... let us achieve our common goals of peace... let us be united for once and for all... The change is just in our hands.
I have just stumbled today another great and inspiring world campaign that had caught my interest. It's a campaign or a movement for peace which is called 'Blog Blast for Peace'.
So what about this 'Blog Blast for Peace'?
Accordingly it was a Peace Globe project that had began in the fall of 2006 with a simple post from Mimi's Blog. The post ignited a flame in the blogosphere. The flame became a passion. And eventually, the passion became a movement. It amazingly traveled from blog to blog across the globe until it has now reached several countries.
And now the movement is on its Fifth Launch!
Last June 2008 the Revolution of Words began. And this November 2008 let's continue the revolution and begin an evolution... one in which the power of our words manifests intrinsic change and expands our compassion for and understanding of people everywhere, dictates a respect for diversity, and calls me - and my neighbors - to a place of peace. Just like what Mimi have said, this is the hope I have for myself. And this is also my hope for you. And if it's true that words are powerful... then this surely matters!
In less than 3 days now, the movement for peace will continue to soar... and bloggers from all across the globe will be blogging for peace once again.
This is such a wonderful thing. Be amazed by the power we bloggers have, and of what you could do for your country and for the whole world. Just imagine that we could get world peace if we all banded together.
This Nov. 10, all eyes will be on bloggers who will participate in Bloggers Unite For Refugees. Will you be one of us?
Yes dear, definitely YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
By writing just one post for this cause, you can help raise awareness about refugees and help Refugees United, connect with local non-government organizations (NGOs) to help refugees in their search for lost loved ones. Their goal is to reunite children with parents, husbands with wives, and family members with friends.
Participating is so easy and you can learn more about this event at http://unite.blogcatalog.com. There, you will find action badges, source material for blog posts, and more information about these people who have no country to call home.
With your help, I know we can encourage thousands of more bloggers to get involved and make Bloggers Unite For Refugees as successful as we wanted it to be. It's one of those events that even if we reunite just one family, then we have made an immeasurable impact on the world.
Now the question is, WHY SHOULD YOU PARTICIPATE?
The bloggers of bloggers unite have created what is the only global blog initiative designed to harness expression in support of human rights and issues in need of highlight. Refugees United is the only online, highly secure and anonymous possibility of refugees to reconnect with family.
The powerful and dynamic gathering of Bloggers, from ordinary people to NGO's and aid agency representatives, is an unprecedented approach and effort to bring focus on the millions of refugees suffering uncertainty and atrocities every day. The blogosphere is a powerful way to raise awareness and aid. Knowledge can bring change.
As a blogger, you are in key position to harness and rally energy behind this cause, by sharing information about the plight of refugees. The ongoing problem of people torn from their homes is something that should, and must, concern us all, in order to find a common solution and bring back life and dignity to the millions suffering. So, please join us, and thousands of other Bloggers, by participating in this important cause.
Keep in mind that a little good can go a long way in making the world a better place.
On November 10th over 10,000 bloggers from around the world will unite to raise their voices on behalf of more than 40 million voiceless refugees. To ask the world to face the atrocities so many human beings must endure and to join hearts and minds to help bring forward information, understanding and action.

Bloggers Unite enables ordinary folks to make an extraordinary impact. We hope you will sign up to participate. Your actions will matter. Your words can help change lives.
What do you get when you give 10 of the most promising Filipino artists billboards across key locations in Metro Manila as their canvass?
2nd Media Communications launches the 'Biggest Outdoor Gallery In Asia'! And it`s the 'Manila Outdoor Gallery'.
Wow! Amazing isn`t it... especially knowing the fact that it would be the biggest here in Asia region. Oh boy, I`m just too proud... of course I`m proud to be a Filipino, but hey hey hey this is really something that makes me more proud than ever.
... So what`s with 'Manila Outdoor Gallery' that makes it the biggest outdoor gallery in Asia anyway? Well just picture it this way... what would you get when you give 10 of the most promising Filipino artists billboards across key locations in Metro Manila as their canvass? Yes, a number of considered art masterpieces not only here in the Philippines but in the whole world by Filipino artists on your way to and from work. Isn`t it amazing? Isn`t it something that you would surely look forward to when you`re about to go to work and about to went home from work?
Anyway, picture North Luzon Expressway, EDSA and South Luzon Expressway as venues for these masterpieces. And now, there won’t be a need to imagine as 2ND MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS liberates art for Filipinos by transforming major Metro Manila thoroughfares into an art trail for the launch of the biggest outdoor gallery in Asia.
Through 2ND MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS, the Manila Outdoor Gallery Route will traverse North Luzon Expressway and EDSA up to South Luzon Expressway to show support for the ongoing movement of saving the environment. Yes, you read it right! It`s not only for our amusement but also for a cause... It`s actually part of the ongoing movement of saving today`s environment, our environment.
And so again, wouldn’t it be cool to see a number of art masterpieces on your way to and from work? and wouldn`t it be nice to know that it`s not only there to amuse us but as a part of the ongoing movement of saving today`s world? I bet it is, and I bet you`ll agree with me! Haha, seems like you don`t have any option dude but just to agree with what I say or with what I write. Haha. But yes, it`s really cool!
You might think that I am being too redundant with the way I write this article, but yes I really am. I admit it and it`s simply because I just couldn`t help myself in 'wow' with this stuff. And again, I am just too proud of it. Wonder whose brilliant idea this is...
I support this stuff, and why not do the same... this is really something that we Filipinos should be proud of!
In relation to our campaign and as a continuation of the article I`ve written last Thursday, October 2, 2008 entitled Our HOPES Need Hope, this month of October the whole Philippines is celebrating its 16th National Children`s Month in recognition of every Filipino child as the most valuable asset of our society with its theme "BRIGHT CHILD: Sa Tamang Pag-aaruga, Kinabukasan ay Maginhawa".
Yes, it is indeed a blessed event that October has been declared by our government as National Children`s Month joining the whole world in its celebration of Universal Children`s Day that was formally established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954. This is the time for us to heighten up our awareness on the life of every children not only here in the Philippines but in the whole wide world as well.
In today`s Filipino society the existence of abuses against the dignity of children is constantly increasing and it is really alarming. Examples are the [•] the rising phenomenon of street children roaming our metropolis [•] the unjust practice of child labor and [•] children being sexually abused and even murdered. Thus, I must say, that there is really a greater need of our special and intensified attention and utmost concern.
-----
Remember that a child is a gift...
Below is a music video released for Children`s Rights Campaign.
-----
Again consider some of my thoughts...
Every Filipino has one single aspiration and that is to live life here in the Philippines to its fullness... Thus, it only means to say that every single Filipino child aspire the same.
There have been several efforts established for a child-friendly justice system here in the Philippines yet there are still so many children that are still often harassed by some law-enforcement officers especially the new ones. For this very reason, I suggest that advocacy efforts should always be continued for the creation of a Juvenile Justice System and a separate facility for minors. There is still really a need to continue to orient, train and advocate among law enforcers on the rights of a child, the psychodynamics of street children, children in conflict with the law, the sexually abused and exploited, and the street children substance abusers.
The way I see it, Politics or should I say politicians are really the main reason why child abuse happens for they give little priority to the implemention of children`s rights and welfare. Most of the time, they only do boast their paperworks and legal requirements in the promotion of children`s welfare, yet the truth is they have failed implementing their own policies and programs because of lack of their political will... For some reason, I am just thinking that maybe it`s because children in the first place are not legal voters.
While significant progress has been achieved in the area of child health, still it`s a fact that there is still high levels of underlying malnutrition and childhood illness in the country. This is because of the rapid-growth of Filipino children population and the increasing number of poverty in the country.
The reason why there is a need to celebrate Children`s month is because this is the only time for us to reflect and be more aware of what`s really happening to our future`s hope. If we will just open our eyes and look around us, surely we`ll be able to realize why is there a need for us to be aware... of why there is a greater need for us to be involved. What we`ll do today to help them, is what our future generation beholds.
Let`s be part of a child-friendly movement. Children themselves, families, communities, church, government and other related groups should participate to place each child at the center of development efforts to effect sensitization of society toward child-friendliness. Let us help each other in promoting the rights of children to survival, development, protection and participation. Let us prioritize and address issues and concerns affecting the full realization of the rights of children to heighten awareness, and monitor and evaluate allocation of resources and implementation of policies, programs and services for children.
Let us all do our share. This is the time for us to act, for us to help, for us to be involved. For they are the HOPES who surely need hope. They surely need us, let`s just let them know and let them feel that we`re still here for them and that they`re not alone after all.

In relation to our campaign, I would like you guys to visit the websites listed below which has greater emphasis on the betterment of Filipino Children.
Last September 26, 2008 a group of Filipino bloggers who are entrecard members managed to run a contest for the purpose of spreading the word about the need to adopt and implement effective policies that will promote child welfare here in the Philippines and maybe for the rest of the world too.
Now, the question is... Why is there really a need to implement effective policies that will promote children`s welfare?
But first, before we answer that question, let us first define if what really a child is? I`m just thinking that almost all of us know what a child is, but never did we realize who they really are and what their purpose really is in our society.
According to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, a child is every human being below the age of 18 years unless under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier. And biologically, a child is anyone in the developmental stage of childhood which is between infancy and adulthood. And according to the law applicable to Philippines, they recognized a child as a basic sector distinct from youth and students.
Now what are their role and how important are they in our society? As of today, it is considered that children played an important role within the family which as we all know is the fundamental unit of our society. They`re the most sacred treasure we have nowadays. They are the foosteps of every community. And more importantly, Children are said to be the hope of our future.
-----
On November 28, 2007, a certain columnist named Mong Palatino who happens to be a youth activisit, the news editor that time of Yehey! [a Philippine-based web portal, and I`m not sure if he`s still the news editor at this point], and a Global Voices correspondent, wrote a certain commentary article with greater emphasis to the rights of the Filipino children. Entitled "Commentary: Is the Philippines child-friendly?" which was posted on UPI Asia.com, Mr. Palatino summarized and questioned the actions that the Philippine Government is doing in implementation of Children`s Rights and Children`s Welfare.
Accordingly, the Philippines is a signatory to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Every administration has committed to building a child-friendly society where children are "nurtured and allowed to grow and develop in dignity." And that more than a decade ago, the government adopted a Philippine Plan of Action for Children in order to realize a child-sensitive society. But then the government has failed because of lack of political will and by not realizing the importance of those obligations.
I even agree when Mr. Palatino said that Children`s rights are the most important human rights. And that Children are among the most ignored and discriminated against sectors of the Philippine society.
Now consider some of my thoughts below regarding this matter...
`twas said that the Philippines has long been committed to ensuring the rights of children, particularly their rights to survival, protection, development and participation. ••• Yet, until this point I don`t see any improvement regarding the said matter.
Government efforts to ensure progress towards the attainment of its goals for children had always failed, and it`s accordingly because of financial crisis. ••• For me, it`s not really the financial crisis but the unnecessary and unproper government spending such as unproper budget allocation and the several projects by several corrupt government officials.
••• An effective way to promote enjoyment of Children`s rights is not only through the provision of direct services to them, but by providing favorable world and national economic environments where their parents or older siblings could be empowered to help meet the children`s needs.
••• The Government among other sectors should always give emphasis and special attention to the rights and well-being of children... giving them the right to represent and participate in several government plans.
••• The Government should also acknowledge the need to address the gap between the enactment of laws and the enforcement of these laws. Aside from the need to set-up functional and efficient monitoring systems, the need to educate the public and the government officials and other public/civil servants about these child-focused laws and policies must always be considered essential. `twas evident that the lack of public awareness and understanding within the justice system about national laws which were specifically intended to provide special protecton measures for children had contributed to this lack of commitment to enforcing these laws.
••• The mission to give voice to the Filipino children by providing them with a link to the highest office in the land is really necessary. But proving them voice alone won`t help them unless the Government is also prepared to lend them an ear and hear their voices.
••• Lastly, the national government along with different local governments must understand and appreciate the importance of these obligations and the fulfillment of these commitments for the benefit of a brighter future and brighter society.
Remember always that Children are the key to our success in the future and that is actually the very reason why they are considered the hopes of our future. Whatever we do today to help them will surely benefit the lives and the society of our next generation.
Thus, I am encouraging not just politicians but all of us to participate and contribute to the promotion of a Child-Friendly governance.
You may be wondering if if this post or article would be in existence if there would have been no contest at all. Honestly, the answer is I don`t know... But this is what I wanna tell you. The contest helped me realize the importance of articles like this. It opened my eyes to what is really happening today and thus making me aware of the current condition and situation of our children today. In this regard, I would really like to be involved. I wanna help even just in my own little ways our children of today. They surely need us, let`s just let them know and let them feel that we`re still here for them and that they`re not alone after all.
Our future HOPES need hope!

I would like to thank the following Filipino bloggers who have managed to conceptualize and made such contest possible:
Hey guys! I mean, hey all entrecard members! There`s a huge, I mean HUGE opportunity for us today and it is the FreebieReporter.com`s HUGE ENTRECARD CONTEST! And as of this writing, the contest has already been started.
On it`s celebraton for its new look, FreebieReporter.com is holding a big entrecard contest and will be giving away more than 70,000 Entrecard Credits and lots of other great prizes with the help of their big sponsors, of course. And as one of entrecard members I might as well grab the huge opportunity! Who knows? Haha.
Huge prizes are so tempting, and lucky for sure are those guys who would won such prizes. And I won`t be hypocrite, okay? Of course I wanna win the '1st prize' of all the mentioned prizes of the contest. Who never wanna win the 1st prize anyway? Nobody right? Haha. But nevertheless, all prizes are good... so I just really hope that I`ll be able to win. Still, it would be best if I`d be able to get the '1st Prize' which includes the following:
Before I forget, FreebieReporter.com`s Huge Entrecard Contest is made possible with the help of the following sponsors [I apologize but it`s in random order]:
While browsing a friend`s blog earlier, I noticed a certain post which caught my interest and concern... And exactly the reason why I am posting the issue or the topic here at my blog.
There`s a new campaign in the world, and it`s THE CHANGE FROM MAN-MADE STRUCTURES TO TREASURES OF NATURE... After the success of the first campaign of New7Wonders Foundation for choosing the "New 7 Wonders of the World", now they have organized the second campaign which is to choose the "New 7 Wonders of Nature". New7Wonders Founder and President Bernard Weber notes, "We are finding the New 7 Wonders of Nature campaign to be excitingly different from the first one. So many breathtakingly beautiful, natural places are still quite unknown to many. From waterfalls to fjords, rainforests to mountain peaks, freshwater lakes to salt flats, we are discovering together the incredible beauty and variety of our planet."
Now what`s the good news? Good news is, for about nearly 300 natural sites in the world which have been nominated for the campaign, four of them are our very own or should I say from Philippines. These nominees are clearly defined as Philippines natural sites or natural monuments that were not created or significantly altered by Filipinos for aesthetic reasons.
Below are the four [4] Philippine Nominees for the New set of Seven [7] Wonders of Nature in no particular order [Mayon Volcano • Tubbataha Reef • Chocolate Hills • Puerto Princesa]...
According to the GMA News Report, the rank of the sites representing Philippines in the bid for the New Seven [7] Wonders of Nature has gone down... So to ensure that one of the sites will make it to the top 7, then we really need your help. So please support and vote.
For the benefit of other bloggers around and to my viewers/readers, to make it easier for you to support and vote for Philippine Sites which are nominees for the New 7 Wonders of Nature, I decided to post the current live ranking of the Philippine nominees here. All you need to do is to click the "vote now for _____" button inside those live ranking boxes above and presto, your vote[s] are in! But of course your vote[s] will only be officially counted after you fill-out some necessary information required to be filled-out. Anyway it will not take long, so just be patient enough... remember that it`s for our own good.
So what are we waiting for, let`s show them what we`ve got and how supportive Filipinos are! Let`s make a difference... Let`s make things happen for all of us Filipinos.
"If we want to save anything, we first need to truly appreciate it." - Bernard Weber
