••• atenean101 @ Blogspot is Nominated for "TOP 10 Emerging Influential Blogs in 2009"

••• atenean101 @ Blogspot or this blog, was created last September 1, 2009, just few days after I celebrated my very day. And from that day onwards until today, it has been noticed and continues to be recognized and appreciated by several bloggers (may it be online or offline) in different areas of the world. But hey, I am not bragging here, okay? All I wanted here is to let you know that your recognition and appreciation is always noted and highly appreciated... It is indeed an honor and an opportunity at the same time for me as a blogger that my work somehow touches one's life.

Now to all my dear readers, viewers, visitors, or whatever you may call yourselves, I would just like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you guys for the support, and for continuously visiting this blog and believing in me. I know for sure that without you, this blog would have not reached this far and this long. Your comments, reviews and messages keep me from doing this and inspire me to do better. Again, I am really thankful!

And just like what I have written on one of my notes before, when I was just starting here, it is very true indeed that freedom of expression is really one of the few values we all have and yet only few of us hold it dear... Expressing yourself is like making your own particular mark in this world: a mark that is like no other. And with this world where appearance is everything, going against the flow and pushing yourself against the boundaries of your limit and creating a look that is unique to you - is truly a brave and a powerful thing. It's not really about a new blog in the blogosphere or about a new handsome or sexy blogger... instead, it is all about who the real blogger is and the true purpose of his blog.

In my life, I always chose to focus on things that are simple yet adaptable. The same principle applies to this blog. One may even call this blog as "Basic". But honestly speaking, in my eyes and in my own opinion, that's what BEAUTY and being TRUE is all about. I always wanted to show myself to everybody in a way that they would be able to remember me anywhere, anytime...

The different posts I have created and posted here may inspire you. Or they may not. But whatever it is, at the end of the day, whatever you like and whatever you don't like here are the things that makes this blog more interesting... Thing is, I can only show you what I really am. It may not be conventional, but at least I'm striving to better myself and to entertain people even just through this "basic" blog.

... Just this early June, I have learned that there were some bloggers who have nominated or included ••• atenean101 @ Blogspot on their list of "TOP 10 Emerging Influential Blogs in 2009". And I am really glad. At least, there are still people who appreciates this blog, though it's a fact that I have been quite inactive for how many months after an unwanted incident happened that until now, I am still keeping... Thank you so much, I hope I would be able to reach your expectation with this blog.

ASUS Ultimate Overclocking Show's Showdown 2009

Cebu City, Philippines, May 23, 2009 - Cebu's finest overclockers pushed the limits of their hardware during the first big OverClocking event in the city - the ASUS Ultimate Overclocking Show 2009! This was held at SM City Cebu Entertainment Plaza, just near SM Cebu's Food Court.

The Overclocking Show is actually the highlight of the two-week ASUS Ultimate PC Fair event, which was held last May 14-24 2009. And as part of the Cebu Bloggers Society's family, I am really glad and honored that they have invited us to such event... not to mention that we've enjoyed the part that they've treated us as a press.

Before, most of the overclocking shows and competitions in Cebu were only done online or in small internet cafes... but this time, they have brought the show to the next level, LIVE!

Two teams from the region, namely Cebu Extreme Overclockers (CEO) and Sugbu Elite Overclockers (SEO), each composed of four (4) PC enthusiasts and Overclocking record-breakers, have shown off their skills in both the latest AMD and Intel Platforms just to get as much as PHp50,000 worth of token, cash and hardware. And each team tried to outdo each other in the following categories:

• Highest % Overclock
• Highest CPU Mhz
• Highest Bclock
• Highest Memory Speed (any timing)
• Highest 3DMark Vantage Score in the Overclocked System
• Highest Super PI

Since overclocking is a means of tweaking your computer hardware to function above its original specifications, there is a need for the best performing and most efficient hardware during the showdown, and that's where ASUS came in.

Ryan, one of the ASUS' geeks, was the host of the event. He explained or rather discussed important things in reference to the ASUS system and its advantage or edge towards other brands when it comes to overclocking.

ASUS, the world's no.1 motherboard manufacturer, provided the teams with top hardware such as the latest Intel Core i7 board - Rampage II Gene and the OverClocking record-breaking AMD-based motherboard, M4A79-T deluxe. The teams also used the latest graphic cards from the brand such as the ASUS EAH4890 and ASUS ENGTX285.

The ASUS Rampage II Gene is part of ASUS' Republic of Gamers (ROG) series. As the name suggests, all ROG products are made to provide the best performing solutions for serious gamers and overclockers. Rampage II Gene echoes this as it boasts premium features such as MemOK! for worry-free memory upgrades, CPU Level Up for easy system performance boosts, and onboard SupremeFX X-Fi for true-to-life surround sound in a compact mATX form.

The ASUS M4A79-T deluxe motherboard on the other hand, features the unique ASUS Xtreme Phase Power design, also evident in most ASUS motherboards. It utilizes more phases to deliver more power and achieve better performance, more stability, enhance power efficiency, and lower temperatures under any loading.

Besides from these top-notch motherboards, the overclockers was able to use memory from OCZ, Caviar Black hard disks from Western Digital, Sunbeam coolers, Silverstone power supply and cordless mouse and keyboard from Logitech. Microsoft Corporation provided the operating systems.

Surely, I am not a "techy" person. I admit that the above mentioned terms and other computer-related stuffs made me really sick. It was indeed a total "nosebleed" listening to Ryan and ASUS people while they try to explain everything... and I am glad that there are fellow bloggers who try to translate things in a more uncomplicated way. *LOL.

At the event, viewers like me did not go home empty-handed, as ASUS had given away cool gadgets and other useful prizes to lucky audiences or participants during the shows "ASUS Question & Answer" portion.

Others who were able to pass by the ASUS Ultimate PC Fair booth, got extra value and special discounts on ASUS motherboards, graphic cards, LCD monitors and wireless routers.

And of course, the event won't be a success without the help of the other sponsors which is listed below...

• CBX Corporation
• Fine Upgrades Technologies
• Tech Island TV
• SM City Cebu
• SM Cyberzone

And of course, the event won't just end without us - Cebu Bloggers Society's Family - doing our most favorite part... CAMWHORING! Yes, we are truly certified camwhores, and we like it that way!

Noted: ASUS is a leading company in the new digital era. With a global staff of more than ten thousand and a world-class R&D design team, the company's revenue for 2008 was $8.1 Billin (US Dollars). ASUS ranks among the top 10 IT companies in BusinessWeek's "InfoTech 100", and has been on the listing for 11 consecutive years.

... Special thanks to Vanjohn of Through the Focal Glass, a fellow CBS, for letting me use his photos for this post.

Announcement: Cebu City - Press Conference with Joel Christopher Remandaban

To whom this may concern,

There will be a press conference that an internationally-acclaimed Pinoy internet marketing expert named Joel Christopher will be conducting here in Cebu City. It will be held on Feb 03, 2009.

•••••

World-renowned Filipino Internet Marketing Expert Shares Wealth Secrets and Economic Recovery Projects to Cebuanos

Joel Christopher Remandaban, an internationally-acclaimed Filipino internet marketer, speaker, trainer and Amazon best-selling author will hold a press conference in Cafe Laguna, SM Cebu on Tuesday, February 03, 2009 at 11:30AM. He will discuss his upcoming seminar in Manila and will make himself available to those who want to ask questions before signing up. He will also talk about opportunities being offered at MasterListBuilder Philippines - his Internet Marketing outsourcing company; as well as the launch of IM4Pinoy.com - the new social networking website for Filipinos who are interested in becoming world class internet marketers and entrepreneurs.

Joel - a Visayan who hails from Tabango, Leyte - has been tremendously successful in opt-in list building, which is imperative in earning sizeable income from the internet. He has unlocked its secrets and tripled his list to over 30,903 names in only 99 days, a milestone that has earned him brands like "Master List Builder" and "List Building King" - titles bestowed upon him by the most notable personalities in internet marketing.

Jay Conrad Levinson, Father Of Guerrilla Marketing says, "Ask anyone this question: 'Who is the best in list building on the Internet?' The answer: Joel Christopher." Ted Nicholas, The Godfather of Direct Marketing, meanwhile, attests, "Joel has built one of the largest opt-in lists in a remarkably short time and is a terrific trainer who works hard, and is a person of integrity."

Joel has grown his opt-in list to more than 153,000 newsletter subscribers in as short as three years - truly unprecedented! Even those who came before him, who were already at the cutting-edge in list-building, still learned a lot from his coaching sessions and warranted that his methods do work and are, indeed, revolutionary.

Here's what Ryan Deiss of OptInAutomator.com has to say: "I consider myself to be fairly advanced in the area of list-building and opt-in marketing, but I still found myself taking HUGE amounts of notes, all the while thinking, 'Why didn't I ever think of that?!'"

Now - Joel, a concerned social entrepreneur, is out to share his milestone to none other than his fellow Filipinos through projects that may help them improve their lives.

First, he will provide hands-on training to the attendees of his seminar entitled, "How To Find A Lucrative Job or Career and Make Money Online," which will be held at the UST Auditorium in Manila on February 14, 2009. Second, he established MasterListBuilder Philippines - an online outsourcing firm that seeks to provide job and business opportunities for Filipinos who prefer to earn income while contributing to the Philippine economy instead of leaving the country as an overseas Filipino worker (OFW). Third, he helped launch IM4Pinoy.com - a social networking site that aims to empower budding and veteran Pinoy internet entrepreneurs by providing a venue for interaction and exchange of knowledge and ideas.. Through these initial undertakings, Joel hopes to create a constructive impact to his "kababayans" and awaken their passion for self-employment because of the time flexibility and financial independence that it offers.

For more information about the press conference, please contact Lorie through 09277819096 or send an email to webwealthbuilders@gmail.com.

Another Two Friendship Tags For Me...

Nisha's Friendship Award

”And lovely are the blossoms
That are tended with great care,
By those who work unselfishly
To make the place more fair.

And like the garden blossoms,
Friendship’s flower grows more sweet
When watched and tended carefully
By those we know and meet.
And if the seed of Friendship
Is planted deep and true
And watched with understanding,
Friendship’s flower will bloom for you. “
And then again, I have been tagged.

And then again, I have been tagged.

Just recently, I have received another friendship tags from two different bloggers. 'Nisha's Friendship Award' from xgenesis007 of 'Dangerzone' and 'Friendship Flower' from Rocks of 'Through the Rain'. And honestly, I am really grateful for their friendship thoughts and appreciation.

When I started blogging, I never really did think that it would really be possible for me to be noticed by people through my blog though it had been a fact that one of my purpose why I decided to start blogging is to be noticed and eventually gain friends. What I just really wanted before is to blog all the things that inspire me, that concerns me, or that interest me.

Right now, I am happy to know that I am starting to build up a battalion of friends. And I am happy. Yes, I am happy indeed that even just through this simple blog, I was able to inspire and made other people smile.

Like what I have written on one of my post, truly one of the best things about blogging is the spirit of friendship and appreciation. And I am just really grateful for those friends who continue to read and appreciate my blog. You simply inspire me to do better.

Accordingly, the friendship tags I have received act as “FRIENDSHIP OFFERING”... so I am offering these two friendship tags to everybody who's reading this blog or this post right now. I don't want to name or enumerate names since I want to be friend with everybody. This is for you guys. Grab it, for all you know, you surely deserve it!

Again, thank you to xgenesis007 and Rocks. Keep on blogging and continue promoting and spreading friendship around. May God bless us always.

US Election Watch 2008 & My Experience...

Last Wednesday, October 5, 2008, I was invited to join and witnessed 'US Election Watch 2008' which was organized by Philippine US Embassy and was held at SM Cebu City, Philippines. Why October 5 instead of 4? Well it's certainly because Philippines is ahead by 13+ hours from the United States...

As my work shift ended for that very day, I hurriedly proceeded to the said venue. And as blogger, we were given the media ID for identification plus badges of OBAMA & McCain...

Just like other participants, I participated in the mock polls conducted during the event using any of the 3 US electronic election devices. Among the three, I prefer to use the touch-screen device which for me was more efficient and easy, it is just like the automated teller machine that we normally use. Yes, I was amazed and impressed by how fast the election results came in and how advanced their election gadgets are compared to other countries especially here in the Philippines... I'm just hoping that in the near future, these gadgets would be used in the future Philippine elections.

Everybody's eager to know the result... watching the live screen for every minute's updates. Wondering how US electoral process works... Then at around 12:00 noon, Philippine Standard Time [about 11:00 PM US Eastern Standard Time], BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA II was proclaimed the new US President-Elect.
____________________

And what made the event more exciting is the fact that through the said event I was able to meet and interact with some of my fellow CBS [Cebu Bloggers Society] members... also I have met some of the prominent people of Cebu City...
